In the historic center of Montalcino
In the gentle landscape of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO wortd heritage site since 2004, in the heart of the village of Montalcino, home of the well known Brunello wine, stands the Hotel Vecchia Oliviera.
The Walls and Gates
Along the old walls of Montalcino, dating back to the 13th century, there are still six gates:"Porta al Cassero", "Porta at Corniolo", "Porta Burelli", "Porta Castellana", "Porta Gattoli" and "Porta Cerbaia" ...next to our hotel!
The oil Mill
Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the building became an important oil mill for the production of Olive Oil, functioning until the 1970s.
The Hotel
In the early 1990s the renovation works began which transformed the oil mill into an accommodation facility.
Today
Since its inauguration, the hotel staff has aimed to make guests feel at home...Come and visit
